Solar Desiccant Cooling System for a Commercial Building in Kuwait’s Climatic Condition

The use of air conditioning in buildings to provide a comfortable environment accounts for up 75% the electricity consumed Kuwait hot season from April through end October. widespread adoption systems has resulted an increased demand electricity. This led peak load that larger carbon footprint and placed grid under significant strain. Heat-driven solar energy are now emerging as alternatives electricity-driven conventional refrigerated conditioners. These more energy-efficient, with lower emissions while also ensuring better indoor quality comfort when optimally designed. Among heat-driven systems, desiccant cooling system is among most potential. paper presents numerical investigation design optimization Kuwait’s climate. model developed using validated components. various configurations analysed include heating regeneration wheel. It found evacuated tube collector conjunction return building regenerate wheel provides best results.
